What the peptide is.
Selank was developed as an analogue of tuftsin (an endogenous tetrapeptide from the Fc portion of IgG). The Pro-Gly-Pro C-terminal addition extends enzymatic stability.
Registered in Russia under the brand name Selank for generalised anxiety and related indications. Not approved elsewhere.
Proposed: GABAergic and enkephalin-system modulation, anxiolytic effects without sedation in preclinical studies.
